VANESSA Hudgens is desperate to marry boyfriend Zac Efron.

Hudgens — who’s been dating the hunky actor since 2007 — has told pals she’s keen to make her relationship with Efron official, but he’s reluctant to commit.

Vanessa was getting her nails done with pal Ashley Tisdale when she was overheard complaining that “Zac just won’t commit…and everybody else in Hollywood is getting an engagement ring — except me!

“Did you see Carrie Underwood’s ring? And Kristen Bell’s? It’s, like, sooooo gorgeous!”

Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus are set to join Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner as presenters at the 2010 Oscars. The foursome will be presenting awards with other fellow actors throughout the evening. Produced by Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic, the 2010 Oscars will be presented on Sunday, March 7, at the Kodak Theatre and will televised live @ 5PM PT/8PM ET on ABC.

I got this from our friend Guy Miller at Kingpin in Sydney… Zac Efron is about at the moment and Guy took him out for a roll. Apparently he was a good dude too… For those that don’t know (like me), Zac is apparently some kind of Disney star and (here’s where it gets interesting) he’s dating Vanessa Hudgens who was the Disney actor gettin’ nekkid on the interwebz a while back. Warner Bros has been as stingy as any major on handing out overall production deals to actors in recent years. But I’ve learned the studio has just given a first look 2-year deal to Zac Efron. And Warner Bros plans to buy pitches, spec scripts, and books for Efron and his still unformed company to develop as star vehicles. His manager, Alchemy Entertainment’s Jason Barrett, will be an exec producer on the projects.

At 22, Efron is by far the youngest actor with an overall Warner Bros film deal. I’m told he hasn’t named his company and is still working out details like whether he’ll take office space on the lot. My insiders said the studio has been high on him for several years, especially his hustle on the New Line film “17 Again” which he promoted heavily in six overseas territories.

Warner Bros is determined to find him a franchise. Which begs the question whether he’ll be the next DC Entertainment superhero, or Bourne-like action thriller leading man, or buddy comedy co-star, or all, or none. True, Efron has made a determined effort to steer away from his “High School Musical” teen heartthrob image, dropping out of a “Footloose” remake to attach to Universal’s serious dramatic vehicle “The Death And Life of Charlie St. Cloud” releasing this fall.

But one of Zac’s upcoming projects I’ve already announced will be the first developed under his new Warner Bros – the Back To The Future-like film, as yet untitled, that melds two projects: a pitch from writers Tim Calpin and Kevin Jakubowski, and the other called “Algorithm” that the studio was already developing. Zac Efron, David Henrie and Logan Lerman – the three big names we’ve seen attached or mentioned when it comes to the reboot of the “Spider-Man” franchise. But just who do you think wants it most?

Zac, 22, dished to 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show that he still wants the gig. He shared, “To be honest that would be a dream come true. I haven’t heard anything but of course any young actor would love to fill those shoes and they are big shoes to fill.”

He also had to squash any more rumors about him returning to East High School, saying, “I don’t know what else we could do, we graduated High School. It might be a bit redundant, we’re a bit too old and pretty soon what’s to stop us from doing Retirement Home Musical.” [Source]

HOLLYWOOD posterboy Zac Efron and his diminutive girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens were the main attractions at Bondi yesterday as the world’s paparazzi descended on our famous beach strip to glimpse the young lovers.

The couple, who were co-stars in the High School Musical film trilogy, flew into Australia on Monday, the guests of sunglasses manufacturer Oakley which paid Efron upwards of $200,000 to take part in a surf promotion.

He told Confidential he was enjoying some rare down time after recently completing his latest film The Death And Life Of Charlie St Cloud.

“I don’t have any irons in the fire, so to speak. I am working on developing something great because, believe it or not, these things don’t really manifest in the way that you think,” a thoughtful Efron admitted. “You really have to work hard to find something that’s worthwhile . . .”

Efron’s girlfriend, whom he met at the castings for the original HSM film, slipped into North Bondi Italian Restaurant mid-afternoon to meet her sweetheart.

The young couple shared a kiss in full view of other guests invited to the exclusive lunch. They included surf champion Layne Beachley , water skier Lauren Eagle, pro surfer Tom Whitaker and models Kristy Coulcher, Nikki Phillips and Maude Garrett. [Source]

Making the long trip ovearseas, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted out in Sydney, Australia on Monday morning (February 15).
The “High School Musical” co-star lovers are in the Land Down Under as Zac is geared up for a couple of surf lessons with sunglasses company Oakley.

Upon arriving at the airport, onlookers tell that the two walked side by side but did not hold hands following the 6:30AM landing. Enjoy the pictures.

Not Likely. In Touch Weekly is reporting that committed couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens are looking to move in together.

A source tells the mag, “When Vanessa was apart from Zac while filming her upcoming movies Beastly and Sucker Punch, she realized how much she missed him and loved being around him all the time. When she got back to LA, she told him she wanted them to move in together. It only makes sense, since they spend all of their free time together anyway. They are young, but very serious about each other.”

Zac Efron has planted some orange trees in girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens’ backyard. The “High School Musical” hunk reportedly had the citrus trees planted at Vanessa’s Los Angeles home while she was away in Canada filming “Sucker Punch” recently.

“Vanessa was incredibly touched by the gift – not just because tress are living, growing things, but because she has always loved the idea of being able to pick her own fruit and make her own juice,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“It was also Zac’s way of telling her that he wanted to put the relationship on solid ground after a rocky year. He picked out the locations for the trees and oversaw the landscaping himself. He also gave Vanessa an expensive juicer so she can make herself some fresh O.J. on hot summer days.” [Source]
