In just a few short years, he’s gone from being a kid doing supporting roles…to being the leading man in his own movies! His latest movie, ‘Charlie St. Cloud’ opens july 30th… and today Zac Efron joins us on the Morning News!
Zac Efron was a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night, and he had some strange encounters with Lior Suchard. Efron was on the show to promote his new movie “Charlie St. Cloud.” Looks like a good, heartfelt movie. But let’s move on to the fun stuff, eh? Efron talked about bungee jumping (he had a visual aid), his mustache adventure, and the truth behind his People Magazine cover.

Regardless of your opinion on the supernatural, seeing a movie about a ghost appeals to everyone. There’s that whole “suspension of disbelief” thing for the non-believers, and for the believers, well, it’s that much more real of a concept. Seeing as “Charlie St. Cloud” stars Zac Efron as a dude who interacts with his younger brother’s ghost, we decided to get the stars of the film to weigh in on their otherworldly encounters as they walked the premiere’s red carpet last night.
Zac said he falls into the skeptical camp, and doesn’t have any ghost stories of his own to share. “I think everyone’s had those things they can’t necessarily explain at one point or another,” he said. “No, I don’t have any ghost stories for you.”
With the release of his new film, “Charlie St. Cloud,” our LA reporter Diem caught up with teen heart-throb Zac Efron to discuss everything from his fans to his spiritual side. Come and listen to what the “High School Musical” star had to say for himself, or just sit back and watch the perfection that is Zac. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.
Zac Efron has responded to Miley Cyrus’s recent admission that she would have posters of him on her walls if they were not friends. The “Hannah Montana” star previously told Access Hollywood that Efron held a “special place” in her heart.
“I am obsessed with Zac Efron. If it wouldn’t be creepy because he’s a friend, I would have posters on my wall,” she joked.
During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Efron was played a video clip of Cyrus’s interview and asked for his response.
“That’s so funny! I don’t even know what to say to that,” he said. “She’s really sweet. I’ve known Miley for a really long time. I’ve known her since she was a little girl. It’s amazing what she’s done. She’s blossomed into this beautiful lady now and taken the world by storm. I’m so proud of her.”

Plot: Accomplished sailor Charlie St. Cloud has the adoration of mother Claire and little brother Sam, as well as a college scholarship that will lead him far from his sleepy Pacific Northwest hometown. But his bright future is cut short when a tragedy strikes and takes his dreams with it.
